Terms of Use

Lotería helps people play together around a physical table. These terms explain your use of the app, this website and the optional ad-removal purchase.
1. Acceptance and Apple’s license
By using Lotería or this website, you agree to these terms with Sunrise Web Studios LLC (“Sunrise,” “we,” or “us”). If you do not agree, do not use them. If you are not old enough to accept these terms where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to your use.
The iOS app is also licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and applicable App Store terms. Apple’s standard EULA governs the app license where applicable; these terms supplement it and do not limit rights it or mandatory law gives you. The app is provided by Sunrise, not Apple.
2. What Lotería does
Lotería is an automatic Spanish-language card caller for the traditional tabletop game. Players provide their own physical tablas and markers, agree on a pattern and check their own boards. The app does not determine whether a physical board has completed a pattern.
Lotería provides no gambling, wagering, cash prizes or monetary rewards. Do not use the app or website to arrange or conduct wagering or unlawful gambling.
3. Personal-use license
Subject to these terms and Apple’s applicable EULA and usage rules, you may use the app on your compatible Apple devices for personal, non-commercial entertainment. This is a license to use the app, not a transfer of ownership. No rights to redistribute the app or its artwork or audio are granted.
4. Advertising and Remove Ads Forever
The free experience includes a small banner and occasional interstitial advertisements at game boundaries. Ad availability may vary with connectivity, privacy choices and Google’s services.
Remove Ads Forever is a one-time, non-consumable Apple in-app purchase that removes advertising from Lotería while the verified entitlement remains valid. It does not unlock gameplay or content and is not a subscription. “Forever” describes the non-expiring ad-removal purchase, not a promise that the app or every service will be available indefinitely.
5. Purchases, restoration and refunds
Apple displays the price and applicable purchase information before you authorize payment. Apple handles billing, purchase approval, transaction records, restoration and refund decisions under its terms and applicable law. Sunrise does not process your payment-card information.
Use Settings → Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase to restore an eligible entitlement. An internet connection or Apple sign-in may be needed. A pending, unverified, refunded or revoked transaction may not grant ad removal. Restoring a purchase does not restore local game progress.
Request a refund through Apple’s Report a Problem service. Nothing here limits statutory refund or other consumer rights.
6. Acceptable use
Use the app and website lawfully. Do not interfere with their operation, bypass purchase or security controls, introduce harmful code, infringe others’ rights, or redistribute, sell or commercially exploit the app or its content without permission. Do not reverse engineer or modify the app except where applicable law or an applicable open-source license allows it.
7. Artwork and intellectual property
The app’s software, branding, custom Lotería card artwork, visual themes, caller recordings and website content are owned by Sunrise or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The traditional game and traditional Spanish card names do not grant permission to copy the app’s particular illustrations, recordings or design. We do not claim ownership of the traditional game itself.
Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. Permission to use the app does not include permission to extract or publish its creative assets.
8. Third-party services and open-source components
Lotería uses Apple services for purchases and Google services for advertising and consent. Those services and linked websites have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control third-party content or guarantee its availability.

9. Availability, changes and local data
We may maintain, update, change or discontinue the app, website or features, subject to applicable law and purchase rights. Compatibility and third-party services may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent compatibility with every future iOS version, or continued availability of every feature.
Game progress and preferences are stored locally. There is no Sunrise account or app-managed cloud sync. Device loss, app deletion, data corruption or a new game can cause loss of progress. We cannot retrieve a saved game from a Sunrise server. Keep device backups as appropriate, understanding that restoration is controlled by your device and Apple’s services.
10. Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose. We disclaim implied warranties only where the law allows. You remain responsible for the rules and physical play at your table. Any non-excludable warranties, guarantees and remedies remain in effect.
11. Liability and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, Sunrise is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the app or website, including lost profits or lost local data.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where protected, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing removes mandatory consumer protections, statutory guarantees, remedies or rights available under Apple’s applicable EULA. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent lawful.
12. Changes and contact
We may revise these terms and will publish the updated version with its effective date. We will give additional notice or obtain agreement where required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already hold.
